Required Inspections

Construction work must be inspected in accordance with these instructions. This office will carry out such periodic inspections during the progress of work to observe that work installed conforms to approved plans and applicable codes.

The owner or other responsible person in charge of work must notify this office when work is ready for any inspections. Requests for inspections must be made at least 24 hours prior to the time inspection is desired. Inspections will be performed within two business days of the time for which they are requested. The work must not proceed in a manner, which will preclude the inspection until it has been made and approval given.

No work may begin prior to the issuance of a building permit. Failure to comply with the inspection process may result in a stop work order and fines.

All proposed construction in the Borough shall be required to be inspected in stages determined by the Building Official. A list of inspections will be provided to the building permit applicant at the time of permit approval.

The applicant or a representative of the applicant shall be responsible for the scheduling of each inspection. Inspections can be scheduled by contacting the Borough office at (215) 723-5000.

Please note: Telford Borough does NOT conduct electrical inspections. Below is a link to a list of Third Party Electrical Agencies who have done inspections in Telford Borough:
