As per the IVRPC, the Decennial Census is required by the Constitution and remains the authoritative data source when it comes to population, race and ethnic identity. In addition to the Decennial Census, the American Community Survey (ACS) 5‐year estimates will be used for more specific information that was not included as part of the Decennial Census questionnaire. Finally, the population and employment forecasts are provided by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), which acts as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Delaware Valley.
